History - (from the personal comments of Sandra Steele) Becky Brown, call sign "The Kid", is the youngest of the Janes. Barely out of boot camp, she impressed me with her ability to drive and repair jeeps, tanks...anything, with the skill of a mechanical prodigy. I immediately requested her transfer to the Janes; something Becky has not made me regret. Kid idolizes her fellow Janes; Myself, for my leadership, Doc, well, because she's just too cool, Doll for her beauty and Big Red for her strength (even though the big Russian scares her a bit).

Surrounded by older women of greater ability and experience (and possibly because of her kid sister-ish call sign), Kid often forgets the value of her own considerable skills. Aside from being a mechanical whiz, Kid has a flawless, photographic memory. I have to occasionally reassures her that she is a valuable member of the unit, but it's often Doc who ends up playing big sister to her. Having to play the tough leader in front of the rest of the Janes, I appreciate Doc taking Becky under her wing. When one of them gets in trouble, the other is usually sharing the hot seat.

One problem, Kid is easily aroused when tickled and often "asks for it". (i.e.- purposely sleeping with her bare feet sticking out, when bunking with Doll, asking Doc about homeopathic potions that increase one's sensitivity, etc.) Doll is onto her game and sometimes teases her with denial, just because she can. Kid also seems to have an eerie "appreciation" of machines and speaks of (and to) the Janes' tank, "Cherry", as if it were her lover.
