History - (from the personal comments of Sandra Steele) Mahlia Jaye, aka - "Doc" is both medical officer and mad scientist to the Janes. Her experiments with "homeopathic remedies" (which mostly involve mind-expanding drugs and/or laughing gas) are as noteworthy as they are hilarious. However, they tend to work...most of the time. Although she tends to have a perpetual buzz from being her own best test subject, Mahlia is surprisingly effective in close-quarter combat. She is fair with a firearm and actually quite good at hand-to-hand, thanks to her Capoeira skills.

When it comes to tickling, Mahlia is purely a recreational vellicatrix, not nearly as skilled as Doll. She is also a rather easy target to render helpless with tickling. Attacking her ribs or her feet will instantly incapacitate her (even when she's really baked)...as Doll has demonstrated time and again. However, it takes time to wrest information from her, as her iron will (probably the result of all the drugs in her system) allows her to hold out for a fair amount of time...often to her dismay. The good doctor is, however, very adept at making weird, non-lethal anti-personnel weapons, like drugged darts, gas bombs and sensory-enhancing potions. She is also an expert at comprehending the garbled and mad rants, hoots and howls of tickle babblers.

Doc and I go way back and have both been in the same unit since boot camp, nearly twelve years ago. Although the Doc can be a bit reckless and tends to rape the rules and regs, she never loses her head and always remains cool under fire. Therefore, I trust her judgment more than anyone else's among the Janes. Doc is also the only Jane who knows my one ticklish spot. GRRR!
